Vision & Walkthrough
We tour every room, listen to priorities, and align on scope before any design fees or commitments.
Whole-home transformations — kitchens, baths, flooring, finishes, and structural updates handled by one trusted team from design through move-in.
Schlickmann Construction delivers full-home renovations across Greater Boston — from gut restorations of historic colonials to modern open-concept transformations. One in-house team, one fixed-price proposal, one project lead from start to finish.
A whole-home renovation is the largest construction project most homeowners ever take on. The difference between a great experience and a stressful one is communication: knowing what's happening today, what's happening next week, and what it costs. We've built our whole company around removing that anxiety.
Our full-home projects typically include: kitchen rebuild, 2–4 bathrooms, all flooring, full paint, electrical service upgrade, plumbing replacement, HVAC, insulation, windows, and exterior work as needed. We sequence trades to minimize the time you're out of the house, and we deliver a 5-year workmanship warranty on everything we build.
We tour every room, listen to priorities, and align on scope before any design fees or commitments.
Architect stamped plans, room-by-room selections, and a master Gantt schedule with milestone payment tied to deliverables.
Sequenced demolition, structural work, MEP rough-in, insulation, and inspections — sequenced to keep the project moving.
Drywall, paint, tile, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, appliances, and a thorough final walkthrough with warranty documentation.
It depends on scope. For a true gut renovation (no plumbing, no kitchen, dust everywhere), we recommend moving out for 3–4 months and renting nearby. For phased renovations where we work room-by-room, you can usually stay in part of the house.
Milestone-based, tied to inspections and deliverables — never time-based. Typical schedule: 10% at signing, 20% at framing, 25% at rough-in, 25% at drywall, 15% at substantial completion, 5% at final walkthrough.
Yes. We've restored 18th and 19th century colonials in Concord, Lexington, and Andover — preserving original moldings, plaster details, and floors while quietly upgrading systems to modern code. We work with local Historic District Commissions when required.
All workmanship — framing, drywall, tile, paint, plumbing connections, electrical work, fixture installation. Manufacturer warranties cover their own products (appliances, windows, roofing) and we coordinate any warranty claims on your behalf.
